What to say? I'm a 42 yr old Essex guy, married to Sue and with no kids. I work locally with Royal Mail, and spend a lot of spare time online, or doing the things in the interests box. I took up golf a year ago, but I'm the worst golfer you've ever seen. Love seeing my excellent friends, Andy Jones, Amanda and Alex, Neil and Hil and Keith and the boys. Love chatting on-line to my great pal Kar.

I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour...

You know what follows the title of course!

Been away from the blog for a couple of weeks. Obviously, since no-one reads the thing, you ain't missed me!

So, what's been going on? Well, nothing much really. All is still very much the same as before. As I type this today, I'm feeling a bit pissed off, for no apparent reason. Ho hum. Am obviously far too highly strung and neurotic.

Workwise, we got a briefing about Royal Mail's grand 5 Year Plan. Sounds Stalinist, but it's all about streamlining and creating efficiency. So in other words, job losses and office closures, while the fat cats at the top of the pile cream off a huge bonus. Here at my building, discussions are still in progress about the future of the place. We know the East London distribution centre will close in 2007. It will be replaced by a site in Thurrock, Rainham or Dagenham. This effects us as it looks likely we'll be absorbed into this arrangement. Which will bugger me as I want to stay in Chelmsford. So I'll have the option of moving out and relocating, or getting a new job entirely. Not to worry just yet, as all is up in the air, and no concrete decisions have been made.

In terms of the footie, Spurs still lie in 4th place, 4 points ahead of the Arse. O's have slipped to 5th in League Two, but it's oh so close... winning the game in hand will take them to second, a point behind the leaders.

I watched Motherwell get unluckily dumped out of the Scottish League Cup at the semi final stage thanks to a last minute goal. (Watched on tv, not live of course.) Celtic were awarded an indirect free kick in the area after the excellent Martyn Corrigan back passed, and the keeper's only option was to grab the ball. A touch back, from the free kick, and a perfect shot whistled past Smith. This after Well had dominated the match. They should count themselves unlucky, but hell, that's no compensation.

Chelmsford City found themselves headlining the local news after the Essex Senior Cup semi against Braintree was abandoned after a brawl. The brawl started in the dugouts between the coaching staff, and they were joined by the players.Dramatic stuff!

Sold some stuff on ebay, but as yet, still waiting for one payment. The guy's been in contact, so hopefully it shouldn't be too long. I''ve put some more stuff on too.

Other than that, things have been dull. As usual, things have been brightened by Kar, either directily with chats and emails, or indirectly through watching and listening to stuff she's recommended. Been listening to Mary Fahl... an Irish songstress along the lines of Enya. Very good, cheers Kar! Also I've been watching 'Charmed'. Renting via Amazon. I've watched the first four episodes now, and it's good fun. Not sure I can really like Shannen Doherty or even her character, Phoebe, but I'm about to fall madly in love with Holly Mary Combs who plays Piper. My god, she's gorgeous. Thanks again due to Kar.

Kar's been a great friend... it's hard to believe it's nearly three years since we met, if you can call online chatting meeting of course. Big hugs to her for making me smile so often, and giving me some great advice.
