What to say? I'm a 42 yr old Essex guy, married to Sue and with no kids. I work locally with Royal Mail, and spend a lot of spare time online, or doing the things in the interests box. I took up golf a year ago, but I'm the worst golfer you've ever seen. Love seeing my excellent friends, Andy Jones, Amanda and Alex, Neil and Hil and Keith and the boys. Love chatting on-line to my great pal Kar.

Signings and Other Stuff

Some idiot forgot his password and log in details, so he wasn't able to update his blog! Eeejit!

So, first things first. The signing... London Expo at the Excel Centre in Docklands. Not a bad event, though have been to better. The DLR journey from Canning Town to Custom House is always a fun way to start the day. I got there early, and opted for an Early Bird ticket, so I could chill out and relax without too many folks pottering about. So, who did I meet? I met Bruce Boxleitner, (Sheridan from Babylon 5), Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun from Deep Space Nine and Shran from Enterprise), Tony Amedola (Bra'tac from Stargate SG1) and Elisabeth Rohm (Kate Lockley from Angel). I was really looking forward to meeting Bruce Boxleitner, but I found him a little rude, to be honest, which was very disappointing. Jeff Combs was great, but Elisabeth Rohm was lovely, very chatty, and even more lovely in the flesh than on TV.

I also decided to start a new collection of 8" x 10" publicity photos from various shows, cast group shots to start with. My fave was a nice Desperate Housewives shot, with Mary Alice in the background. Very cool.

After the show, went to Mums, where I read much more of Terry Pratchett's wonderful Thud while waiting for Sue and Alex to arrive for tea. Listned to the footie too... was a little disappointed that Spurs didn't beat the Arse, although 1-1 isn't too bad I guess. O's won 1-0 against Oxford, and can you believe it? They are top of League Two. Chelmsford won 3-0, as did Motherwell away to Dunfermline. A nice set of results for me.

Sunday wasn't over exciting, although I did succumb to the dvd addiction, buying Northern Exposure seasons 1 and 2 in the HMV BOGOF sale. Northern Exposure has to be one of my all time favourite TV shows. Wonderful. Also got an electric saw, so I could get to work on the built in cupboards in the bedroom. Unfortunately, they come with a free lungful of saw dust, so when I finish off, I'll sort out some of those mask thingies. When Sue got home from work, we wandered up to the Harvester for tea, and ended up stuffing myself.

The only thing worthy of note this week has been a trip to the doctors. I've got a pedunculated naevus. In English, I have a mole that's become swollen due to an increase of blood flow. It has to be chopped off so it means a trip to hospital for the day. It's in a rather embarrassing place, which also means it's very irritating. At least it's harmless, which eased my mind. I thought it probably was, but there's always that thought in the back of your mind that it could be something serious.

What a boring day today. Hardly any work to do. Mark is off tomorrow, so I have Ed with me. And I have to go back to the dentist to have my abcess checked out. I do hope Mr Goli doesn't have to do anything. It feels absolutely perfect, as though there never was anything wrong with it. Not looking forward to it at all.
